This year’s Vertikal Days took place at the new, slightly more northerly venue of Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th September. With more than 330 companies or brands represented, it was one of the biggest gathering of cranes, aerial work platforms, telehanders and associated equipment and services since its debut at Haydock Park in 2007.
Wide range showcased
Haulotte UK showcased a wide range of its products with 12 machines on display: the HA20 LE, the Compact 14 equipped with the Secondary Guarding System (SGS), the SIGMA 16 featuring the FASTN active anchorage system, the HT23 RTJ PRO, HS18 E, Star 10, Star 6, the 3 Swift up models from the Low Level Access range, as well as the two latest models of articulating booms: the HA16 E and the HA20 RTJ.
Natalie REYNOLDS, General Manager of Haulotte UK & Ireland, shared her thoughts on the two-day show: "We had a great number of visitors at our outdoor stand. We chose to showcase many machines to demonstrate the breadth of Haulotte's range. The star of the stand this year was undoubtedly the new rough terrain articulating boom, the HA16 E, which is fully electric and delivers the same performance and ‘full day’ working capabilities as an equivalent diesel model."
The team also highlighted the new FASTN safety system, which was demonstrated on two machines: the HA16 E at Haulotte UK’s stand and the Sigma 16 at the IPAF stand.
Dave SHORTRIDGE, National Sales Manager for Haulotte UK & Ireland, expressed the visitors’ enthusiasm: "We saw a real buzz around FASTN, both at our stand and at IPAF's. In general, innovations in safety were very well received, with visitors asking many questions about how they work and their benefits. Today, worksite safety is a key concern for both equipment rental companies, who have a responsibility to provide reliable equipment, and for construction industry players who face significant challenges in implementing safety policies and preventive actions."
